The Nun II 4K Ultra HD Review

The Nun II isn’t unwatchable for sure and I do like Taissa Farmiga who possesses some of that lovely screen presence as her big sister, but the movie does not break any semblance of new ground in the possession-horror genre.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Review

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is a wonderful conclusion to the New 52 DCAU which had its ups and downs but produced some good features, a few of which rival the live action side.

The Mule 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Review

The Mule isn’t some profound film and even as a character drama, not terrible exceptional, but seeing Clint Eastwood back in front of the camera and delivering a great performance is well worth the cost of admission.

Review: In a Valley of Violence BD + Screen Caps

In a Valley of Violence was somewhat of a surprise for a (basically) direct-to-video release mainly because, in spite of a familiar story and Western clichés, featured some solid performances by Ethan Hawke and Taissa Farmiga.

Review: The Final Girls BD + Screen Caps

The Final Girls is one of the better surprises of 2015 with some clever writing, a fun plot device and some unexpectedly genuine moments with the mother-daughter storyline. The Blu-ray has a fair amount of features especially the two commentary tracks and the video and audio transfers are more than adequate for the genre.
