The Twilight Zone revamp, produced and narrated by Jordan Peele arrives on DVD with both seasons in one set and includes featurettes, deleted scenes and episode commentaries.
The Contractor is an okay suspense-thriller and does showcase Chris Pine’s charisma (the reason I liked him as Jack Ryan), however the plot is thin and the writing pretty standard and predictable.
Come Play is a simple but effective enough fantasy-horror film that features some nice scenes though I can’t say I was ever quite frightened very much, however I assume young teens might get something out of it.
Community is an entertaining show that for whatever reason I didn’t watched when it was on TV. But now with a Blu-ray release, it was a great experience catching up and although there are a few episodes that were merely okay, the bulk were utterly hilarious thanks to the sharp writing and its ensemble cast.
Life of the Party might be a far more tolerable Melissa McCarthy vehicle compared to Tammy and The Boss, but it’s still not all that good, either, with the humor rarely hitting the mark.
Life Partners isn’t a great movie but succeeds thanks to its cast, Leighton Meester and Gillian Jacobs in particular who have great chemistry together; it’s also a breezy film never overstaying its welcome.
