UltraSeven, the third series in the Ultraman franchise, and while this is not always my cup of tea, it still holds some entertainment value at least and plenty of funs as you watch men in goofy costumes fight amongst miniature buildings.

Frozen II is a slight step up from the first film, though notable that I am in the minority as I wasn’t a big fan of that movie, and with this film at least the music was better.
Masked and Anonymous is a movie I never had heard of before despite featuring a noteworthy cast, most of whom appeared for the opportunity to work with veteran musician Bob Dylan. For fans of Dylan, this might be a treat.

Midway was a nice surprise as going in didn’t have much of any expectations, but found the action to be well done and features a fine ensemble cast, no one really standing out, and instead the air battles take center stage.
Rosewood Lane and White Noise: The Light aren’t exactly top-of-the-line movies and the pairing is a bit odd as one is a grounded thriller while the other is in the supernatural realm.

A Quiet Place isn’t a standout movie on its own, but does have a few standout moments and a few good performances including John Krasinski really coming into his own, leaving behind his character from The Office behind.

Doctor Sleep wasn’t the most enthralling film, but I did enjoy some of the performances, mostly Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson with a nod to young Kyliegh Curran, and the special attention writer-director Mike Flanagan paid to the material.

Ford v Ferrari is probably one of my favorite movies of the year, a great mix of high-adrenaline racing and excellent acting by both Matt Damon and Christian Bale.
The Good Liar is a movie only worthwhile for excellent performances by two of the best actors around in Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen, it’s too bad the plotline, and third act specifically, wasn’t better.
Frankie is an ensemble drama featuring some fine actors, headlined by Isabelle Huppert and co-starring Brendan Gleeson, Marisa Tomei and Greg Kinnear. The DVD and Blu-ray is now available for purchase or rental.
Color Out of Space might not have been completely my cup of tea as I prefer a more traditional horror, but I can acknowledge some of the creativity and there were a few great moments that presumably Lovecraft fans will appreciate.

The Hunt for Red October isn’t a favorite of mine within the film franchise but is still a well done, submarine-based thriller and Alec Baldwin made for a fine Jack Ryan, just a shame he couldn’t continue beyond this film.

One Missed Call might not be in the top-tier when it comes to the creepy vengeful girl subgenre within J-horror and is entertaining and fairly engaging even with some of the tropes and clichés.
Once Missed Call: Final didn’t exactly take the trilogy out on top with some silly moments, even when taking into account the premise, and the acting wasn’t as strong in comparison.
One Missed Call 2 may not be as strong of a film as its predecessor and certainly plays fast and loose with any rules, if there are any, seemingly making it up as they went along. Having said that, I did like the two lead actors and still managed to be entertained.
