Mary Poppins Returns by all accounts did service as a sequel in both style and tone but for myself, nothing really stands out other than some respectable set design and a few of the performances, otherwise the music itself was bland and it did feel a tad long.

Sherlock Gnomes wasn’t awful or anything but between a limited gnome-world and humor that rarely, if ever, landed, it was a bit of a chore to sit through especially when it sounded like the actors couldn’t give two rips either.

This is a case of quantity over quality here, though there are a couple of decent films like Vacancy and I Know What You Did Last Summer (if you like late 90s slasher horror) but otherwise these are movies previously released by Mill Creek re-packaged together.

The Triple Feature set is an okay release from Mill Creek and although I don’t like that no features were ported over from previous studio releases, as budget titles go, it’s worth picking up if only to get two out of the three in high-definition for the first time.

Edge of Tomorrow is one of the better movies to come out of a (mostly) disappointing summer 2014 although due to a generic title change and less than stellar advertising, didn’t quite catch on with audience (it did manage to cross the $100M mark domestically, however). It’s a fun film from start to finish and well worth at least a rental if not outright day one purchase.
