The Ten Commandments Blu-ray Rundown

The Ten Commandments Blu-ray from Paramount now comes in Digibook form and has both the 1923 and 1956 feature films, and though they are the same discs, at a discounted price, and if not already owned, worth picking up.

Return of Ultraman Blu-ray Review

Return of Ultraman is another zany science fiction fantasy adventure series. There are some fun moments amongst the stilted dialogue and half-baked storytelling which, more often than not, culminate with Ultraman taking on the episode’s creature.

Hudson Hawk (Reto VHS Cover) Blu-ray Review

Hudson Hawk isn’t as bad of a movie as it’s been made to be, but certainly not great by any stretch as some of the humor, not to mention the overcomplicated story, doesn’t always work.

Titans: The Complete Second Season Blu-ray Review

Titans: The Complete Second Season is a solid step up from season one, though I am biased as a fan of Deathstroke who was the central villain, and the new Titans crew is a lot of fun, yes even the arrogant Jason Todd.

Masked and Anonymous: Shout Select Blu-ray Review

Midway 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Review

Midway was a nice surprise as going in didn’t have much of any expectations, but found the action to be well done and features a fine ensemble cast, no one really standing out, and instead the air battles take center stage.

A Quiet Place 4K Ultra HD Review (Mondo Steelbook)

A Quiet Place isn’t a standout movie on its own, but does have a few standout moments and a few good performances including John Krasinski really coming into his own, leaving behind his character from The Office behind.

Doctor Sleep 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Review

Doctor Sleep wasn’t the most enthralling film, but I did enjoy some of the performances, mostly Ewan McGregor and Rebecca Ferguson with a nod to young Kyliegh Curran, and the special attention writer-director Mike Flanagan paid to the material.
