Despite only having a relatively short 94-minute running time, Source Code is a far more impactful film than others that are a good 40-50 minutes longer, the reason in part is the efficiency of director Duncan Jones.

Saving Private Ryan is just one incredible experience from the amazing war sequences from the D-Day invasion to the Ramelle scene but in between are some excellent performances headlined by Tom Hanks, and should’ve taken home Best Picture especially over Shakespeare in Love.

Bent BD + Screen Caps
Bent isn’t a very good crime-thriller to be sure, but despite the clunky plot, I did enjoy aspects of it and having Karl Urban starring certainly helps along with Andy Garcia in a smaller role.
Batman Ninja BD + Screen Caps
Batman Ninja was certainly an interesting idea and the anime was generally great to look at, but inserting Batman and company into that world never quite worked and the finale was a bit too gonzo for my taste.
Fifty Shades Freed 4K Ultra HD/Blu-ray + BD Screen Caps
Fifty Shades Freed isn’t bad enough to be fun and the lack of chemistry between Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan makes it so much worse to watch, thankfully this is the shortest one of the series, so there’s that.

A Notorious Affair DVD
A Notorious Affair is an amiable enough romance-drama but hardly special, though I did enjoy the performances from Basil Rathbone, known mostly for his portrayal as Sherlock Holmes from 1939-46, as well as the tremendous Kay Francis.
80s Overdrive: 6 Movie Collection Blu-ray Review
The 80s Overdrive: 6 Movie Collection is just another re-package job by Mill Creek, a few triple dipping at this point. I guess if you didn’t already own any of these movies, and considering its low SRP, might be worth picking up, otherwise skip.

This is a case of quantity over quality here, though there are a couple of decent films like Vacancy and I Know What You Did Last Summer (if you like late 90s slasher horror) but otherwise these are movies previously released by Mill Creek re-packaged together.

Deep Blue Sea 2 Blu-ray Review
Given the renewed interest in the shark attack subgenre of horror, it’s easy to see why the studio would make a sequel to Deep Blue Sea, a movie that often gets forgotten. As it is, the sequel is just plain bad with a plot that mirrors the original with some tweaks.
No Down Payment Blu-ray Review
No Down Payment is a well done and underappreciated movie about 4 families living in 1950s suburbia and features some great performances, particularly Joanne Woodward, Tony Randall and Cameron Mitchell.
Blue Denim Blu-ray Review
The Hospital is a dark comedy that works mostly for George C. Scott though the story itself isn’t only mildly amusing. The Blu-ray has okay video/audio transfers but lacks many features.
Model Shop Blu-Ray Review
Model Shop was an okay enough drama that excels with the performance from Alexandra Hay while I found Gary Lockwood’s Matthews to be a bit annoyingly dense of a character.
Alexander Hamilton DVD
Hamilton is an interesting film based on the stage play of its time and has a solid performance from George Arliss in the feature role.
Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell BD + Screen Caps
Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell is the fifth movie in the series and while it’s hardly great even by mindless entertainment standards, it’s still an enjoyable enough time anyway especially watching Michael Gross and Jamie Kennedy having a great time with the material.
