Review: Ratchet & Clank BD + Screen Caps

Ratchet & Clank is a perfectly safe movie for younger viewers and passable enough for parents to watch with them, however between the animation and story, this probably better off as a direct-to-video release than something a studio spent millions to release to theaters.

Review: The Phenom BD + Screen Caps

The Phenom is an OK sports drama but mainly because of the performances by Paul Giamatti and Ethan Hawke, otherwise it is on the forgettable side. The Blu-ray released through RLJ Entertainment offers OK video, so-so audio and throwaway features.

Review: San Andreas BD + Screen Caps

I have a soft spot for disaster flicks so something like San Andreas, as goofy as it was featured solid visual effects and even with a thin plot the film still managed to entertain. The acting for what they were given wasn’t bad and once again Dwayne Johnson proves himself to be a great action hero.

Saving Mr. Banks Blu-ray Review

Historical inaccuracies aside, Saving Mr. Banks is still a fine drama featuring two wonderful performances from Emma Thompson, who should have received an Oscar nod, and Tom Hanks. Yes, it is emotionally manipulative but it’s for one’s heartstrings not to be pulled at certain scenes.
