The Gateway is only worth checking out if only for some solid performances, however the story is relatively thin and clocking in around 87 minutes doesn’t allow these characters to be developed.

Ride Along 2 is no better or worse than the original. You’ve pretty much got the same type of jokes and the performances from its core cast isn’t anything special, though presumably they at least had a good time while filming. The action is rather ho-hum and although I don’t mind Kevin Hart, even he seemed to be going through the motions.
When it comes down to it Mortdecai is just a bad movie. None of the jokes worked and Johnny Depp’s latest outlandish performance is no longer charming and the respectable supporting cast is completely wasted. This is not even worth a rental. As for the Blu-ray, the bonus material is basic while the video/audio transfers are more than respectable.
Deliver Us from Evil is an effective film that keeps one on the edge until the end, even if the finale doesn’t give us anything new in the genre. The cast is well put together and the direction by Scott Derrickson is successful building on his respectable resume following The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Sinister.
