The Star Trek: The Original 4-Movie Collection is a solid enough of a set and does have respectable 4K video along with the audio which is likely the same from past Blu-ray releases, even so still high quality.

Star Trek: Picard – Season One isn’t great especially with seeing Patrick Stewart returning to his iconic character, but I found it watchable however I’ve never been an avid viewer of TNG or any other Trek incarnation growing up.

Star Trek Discover: Season Two I found to be an okay season I suppose but I’m not steeped in the history of Star Trek as a whole so any changes or updates didn’t bother me, although it’s pretty obvious to keep fans, they needed to include the old guard.

Star Trek: Enterprise is considered the bastard child in the Trek universe and perhaps dead last compared with others like The Next Generation, Voyager and Deep Space 9. And while certainly there were some bad episodes, I did find as the seasons went on, I found them to be mostly entertaining.

Star Trek: The Animated Series is a fine release from Paramount and although the animation itself has all the hallmarks from the 1970s, the stories at least are well written and these serve nicely as unofficial fourth and fifth seasons of the original series, highlighted by its original cast.

Speaking as a mere casual fan (for shame!), Star Trek Beyond is a solid entry in the Trek franchise that in some ways matches with the 2009 semi-reboot and excels primarily with this young cast that I hope get at least one more shot as the marketing on this one really did not do it justice

50 Years of Star Trek isn’t a bad documentary but by the same token, nothing overly special outside of that it features the final interview with the late Leonard Nimoy and perhaps that alone is worth the price admission.

Star Trek Into Darkness is a sometimes fun summer blockbuster featuring a great cast, decent story (even with some of the lazier plot points) and amazing visual effects. It’s a nice addition to the Star Trek franchise though my hopes any problems with the plot, or lack of originality, is corrected with the upcoming Star Trek Beyond.
