Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Review

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker isn’t a terrible movie as there are a few entertaining moment and the performance from Adam Driver, the only consistent of the cast throughout this new trilogy.

Child’s Play (2019) Blu-ray Review

Child’s Play is actually a fun flick that re-imagines the original just enough to kind of be its own thing, with some similar plot elements yet still feels fresh even being in the killer doll sub-genre.

Corvette Summer Blu-ray Review

Corvette Summer is a fun coming-of-age film that probably not many remember or know about. Mark Hamill and Annie Potts certainly make an interesting and non-conventional pairing aiding well in the romantic aspect of the movie.

Batman: The Complete Animated Series Blu-ray Review

Batman: The Animated Series is easily one of the best animated shows ever, able to transcend generations appealing to both kids and adults alike, and from a technical standpoint a (darkly) wonderful achievement with the design to go along with the pitch perfect voice castings.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: Season 11 BD + Screen Caps

Does Mystery Science Theater 3000: Season 11 match up with the highs of the original series? Not quite, but it does come pretty close even if the season was on the uneven side. Otherwise, I actually did warm up to Jonah as the new host and seeing the robot friend’s back was just great.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi BD + Screen Caps

Star Wars: The Last Jedi was a rather big disappointment for me since I did really enjoy The Force Awakens and the things J.J. Abrams setup, writer/director Rian Johnson tore right down, and this coming from a casual fan. But there are some things to like such as the production designs, visual effects and some of the performances.

DC Universe 10th Anniversary Collection BD

The DC Universe: 10th Anniversary Collection is an excellent release that even though some of the animated movies aren’t the best, having them in one place is nice. The only issue I have is, there is going to be more releases and given how physical media is going, not entirely sure there will be a volume 2 release, but who knows.

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm BD + Screen Caps

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm is one of the better feature films with the Dark Knight and just a well written and amazingly animated film all around with a great voice cast.

Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens 3D Blu-ray Review

Although hardly perfect, and doesn’t hold a candle to A New Hope or Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens is still an entertaining sci-fi action/adventure that not only brings back the old crew but does a great job introducing a new cast of characters as portrayed by Daisy Ridley, John Boyega and Adam Driver.

Review: Mill Creek Multi-Pack June 2016 Releases

I give a brief breakdown on Mill Creek’s June 7th multi-movie pack releases, specifically Streets of Fear and Midnight Movie Madness. None of these movies are of high-quality and are mainly remembered for the stars sometimes in smaller roles. At basement bargain prices, these might be worthy for collector’s of these cheap sets.

Review: Village of the Damned BD + Screen Caps

John Carpenter’s Village of the Damned has its good moments, propelled by a solid ensemble cast from Christopher Reeve to Michael Pare, and a bit of the cheese factor that is kind of amusing. This Collector’s Edition release by Shout Factory offers well done video and audio transfers and a nice selection of bonus material to peruse.

Review: LEGO DC Comics Superheroes: Justice League: Attack of the League of Doom BD + Screen Caps

LEGO Super Heroes: Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom is another fun entry into the LEGO animated line with nice animation and good voice casting making for an all around entertaining flick serving as a good placeholder while we wait for LEGO Batman. The Blu-ray released by Warner Home Video offers solid video/audio transfers while the singular featurette is actually interesting.
