Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins wasn’t a big disappointment since I went in with zero expectations. Although Henry Goulding was good in the lead role, he didn’t get much to work with both with the script and supporting cast.

The Suicide Squad might not hit the levels of something like Guardians of the Galaxy (still an MCU favorite of mine), but it does take the material in the right direction when compared with Ayer’s 2016 original with a better story and characterization.
Kull the Conqueror, originally conceived as a third Conan movie before Arnold Schwarzenegger passed on the role, stars Kevin Sorbo, Tia Carrere and Ian Thomas Griffith, arriving on Blu-ray from Mill Creek Entertainment.
The Protégé isn’t quite as good compared to Anna but I still was consistently entertained even with some of the flaws, which were overcome thanks to solid direction from Martin Campbell and a good core cast with Michael Keaton, Maggie Q and Samuel L. Jackson.
The Flash: The Complete Seventh Season arrives on Blu-ray and DVD October 12 from Warner Bros. and includes deleted scenes, two featurettes and a gag reel.
Survive the Game is another severely lackluster direct-to-video movie co-starring Bruce Willis who looks as uncommitted as ever. There’s really nothing redeeming for this and should absolutely be skipped.
Santa Fe Trail comes to Blu-ray courtesy of the Warner Archive Collection with a great video and audio transfer. The film stars Errol Flynn, Olivia de Havilland and… Ronald Reagan. The Blu-ray was released September 14th.
Legend is an odd film compared with others directed by Ridley Scott and while the characters are thin and underdeveloped, this is almost compensated with great production design and the make-up and prosthetics are all well done.
Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced the date and released artwork for the western-thriller Apache Junction starring Stuart Townsend, Trace Adkins, Scout Taylor-Compton and Thomas Jane.
Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced the date and released artwork for the suspense-thriller American Night starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Emile Hirsch, Paz Vega and Jeremy Piven.
Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced the date and released artwork for the supernatural-thriller Saint Maid starring Morfydd Clark, Jennifer Ehle and Lily Frazer.
One Dark Night isn’t a great movie but as supernatural-horror goes, which I’m generally not a big fan of, it’s fairly entertaining and features some impressive make-up effects and a solid finale.
Space Jam: A New Legacy isn’t all that good but to be perfectly fair, neither was the 1995 original, though 14/15 year old me probably loved it (don’t have much memory, must’ve been a short-lived love).
Night of the Animated Dead is an ill-conceived feature that just takes the classic and turns it into animated form with an additional scene from what I can remember. The animation itself isn’t the best but not awful while the voice acting was alright. That said, this is one to skip.
Blades I guess is a movie you need to be in the mood for, namely watching amongst friends. For me, I found the humor was a bit too dry and dragged on for my liking.
