Kalifornia is one hell of a road trip of a movie that excels thanks two amazing performances from Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis, and if this film had found any traction, Pitt at the very least should’ve gotten an Oscar nomination.

The Poison Ivy series is no doubt bad and unfortunately not really the good kind of bad outside of a few laughable lines and how some of the sex scenes were “tastefully” shot. On the plus side, for the most part the acting isn’t bad.

Valentine for me, like Urban Legend, isn’t a slasher-horror classic but I will admit there are at least few fun elements and I suspect if you were to watch this in a group setting, the experience might be a better one. However, this “Collector’s Edition” is a near home run from Shout Factory.

Although I’m sure The Mangler has its fanbase that has grown over the years, this horror-comedy didn’t do much for me, mainly with some over-the-top acting on the parts of Robert Englund and Ted Levine, even in a movie where a machine comes to life and chases people down…

This Critters Collection is another nicely done work from Shout through their Scream Factory line featuring two solid movies and two… not so good ones. The transfers are all relatively well done and the features packaged together were fantastic.

I suppose there are worse ways to spend 90-minutes than sitting through Critters 4, even if the titular creatures don’t seem to have as much screen time with only two on-screen kills. Of note, though, the inclusions of Angela Bassett and Brad Dourif did make it more interesting.

Critters 3 is a step down from the previous installments but still fun, albeit more seeing Leonardo DiCaprio before he made it internationally huge some years later with Titanic. The rest of the cast were fine and the Critter designs were still impressive.
