Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood Blu-ray Review

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood may not be Tarantino’s strongest film though I did enjoy this experience more than The Hateful Eight thanks to his attention to detail for the era along with some fun performances by both DiCaprio and Pitt.

Riverdale: The Complete First Season BD + Screen Caps

Riverdale: The Complete First Season actually was far better than I expected even if some of the teen angst clichés are present, but the cast is mostly likeable with Camila Mendes probably being the standout of the bunch. I commend the writers for this compelling freshman season.

Review: The Fifth Element 4K Ultra HD Review

The Fifth Element is a mixed bag of a film with some great flare and style but then you add in Chris Tucker and his obnoxious character to balance all that good out. On the plus side, Gary Oldman, as outlandish as his character is, is a lot of fun to watch and Milla Jovovich provides a nice spark.

Review: Black Beauty DVD

Black Beauty is hardly great but it’s a safe enough family film with some OK performances by the three leads and a good enough moral that doesn’t get overly syrupy (i.e. Disney-fied). The DVD released by Lionsgate offers up a couple basic bonus features and decent enough video and audio transfers.
