Face/Off certainly had a few silly moments but this is a great action-thriller featuring fun performances from Travolta and Cage equally, and both veteran actors seemingly having a blast playing off of one another.
The Experts is a 1989 comedy film directed by Dave Thomas and stars John Travolta, Arye Gross, Kelly Preston and Charles Martin Smith and is available on Blu-ray May 9th from Kino Lorber.
While Pulp Fiction isn’t a masterpiece of filmmaking as some might contend, it’s still a very well made picture with the sharp writing we expect from Tarantino and one of the better ensemble casts put together.

Urban Cowboy is an overly long modernistic western-drama that might feature the normally charismatic John Travolta, but here he is playing just an unlikeable character.
The Poison Rose is just another failure in John Travolta’s ever fading career, and I say that with no glee or happiness as he has shown to be a fantastic actor so I can only hope a Tarantino or Nolan might re-vitalize his career one more time.
Speed Kills is another dud for the once great John Travolta but I do like the guy and hope he had one more resurgence in him otherwise he’ll likely be stuck in these terrible direct-to-video films.
Get Shorty is a fun, frilly crime-comedy thanks to some snappy dialogue and enjoyable performances from the entire cast including Travolta, Hackman, Russo, DeVito and the late Denis Farina.
The Punisher is probably a mid-tier comic book movie and while it’s certainly not great, I did find it mostly entertaining mainly for Thomas Jane rather than the plot or thinly written villain.
Gotti is a well intentioned but terribly conceived bio crime drama with some so-so acting but worse, terrible editing and pacing making for just an all around bad movie.
This Drama 4-in-1 Collection is another fine compilation from Mill Creek especially considering the low SRP and getting some at least okay John Travolta movies, though I believe these all were already released on Blu-ray in the past.
The 80s Overdrive: 6 Movie Collection is just another re-package job by Mill Creek, a few triple dipping at this point. I guess if you didn’t already own any of these movies, and considering its low SRP, might be worth picking up, otherwise skip.
Saturday Night Fever is a movie that transcends time. It’s a movie that no matter how old you are, you can relate in one way or another. Of course, it also helps that it features probably one of the best soundtracks ever released and a fantastic performance by a young John Travolta.
