Face/Off certainly had a few silly moments but this is a great action-thriller featuring fun performances from Travolta and Cage equally, and both veteran actors seemingly having a blast playing off of one another.
The Experts is a 1989 comedy film directed by Dave Thomas and stars John Travolta, Arye Gross, Kelly Preston and Charles Martin Smith and is available on Blu-ray May 9th from Kino Lorber.
While Pulp Fiction isn’t a masterpiece of filmmaking as some might contend, it’s still a very well made picture with the sharp writing we expect from Tarantino and one of the better ensemble casts put together.
Aside from my issue with plot, Blow Out is a film that should be seen along with Coppola’s similarly themed The Conversation starring Gene Hackman which came out in 1974, 7 years earlier.
Moment by Moment was a swing and huge whiff of a romantic-drama where the two leads shared absolutely no chemistry and many awkward scenes that made the movie pretty tough to sit through.
The 80s Overdrive: 6 Movie Collection is just another re-package job by Mill Creek, a few triple dipping at this point. I guess if you didn’t already own any of these movies, and considering its low SRP, might be worth picking up, otherwise skip.
