House of Gucci Blu-ray Review

House of Gucci is hardly a bad movie but it is unnecessarily long and I personally found the Italian accents from most of the cast to be a bit cartoonish, and I don’t believe that was Ridley Scott’s intention.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Review

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is an okay, if not exceptional lengthy, film and well worth checking out, especially if you’re a DC fan or just curious, plus splitting it into parts does help if you don’t want to watch in one sitting.

The Little Things Blu-ray Review

The Little Things had plenty going for it with no less than three Academy Award winners headlining, and while Washington, Malek and Leto all give fine performances, the film fails as a crime-drama and as a character-drama.

Requiem for a Dream: Director’s Cut 4K Ultra HD Review

Requiem for a Dream to say the least isn’t entirely a pleasant movie but with the great performances, especially Ellen Burstyn, with the compelling enough storylines, my second viewing of this was more positive.

Lord of War 4K Ultra HD Review

When I last saw Lord of War 13.5 years ago, I wasn’t completely enamored beyond the acting and… my opinion roughly remains the same, some solid performances though I guess I was more engrossed with the story this go around.

Urban Legend: Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Review

Urban Legend is one of many slasher movies to come out of the late 1990s/early 2000s thanks to the massive success of Scream. I never was a big fan of the movie mainly because I never found it all that scary.

Drama 4-in-1 Collection BD

This Drama 4-in-1 Collection is another fine compilation from Mill Creek especially considering the low SRP and getting some at least okay John Travolta movies, though I believe these all were already released on Blu-ray in the past.

Review: Blade Runner 2049 4K/BD + BD Screen Caps

Blade Runner 2049 is probably not a great sequel to the 1982 classic but still a very good movie as a whole. Although the visuals (both in terms of cinematography and effects) are fantastic, the characters weren’t all that interesting and the performances were just okay. However, this is still well worth seeing.

Suicide Squad 3D Blu-ray & Blu-ray Review

Suicide Squad clearly wasn’t the home-run the DCEU needed as demonstrated by both critics and some audiences but although it is very flawed, particularly with the screenplay, I still found it enjoyable if only to see some iconic characters sharing wonderful chemistry.

Alexander: The Ultimate Cut Blu-ray Review

Alexander: The Ultimate Cut is supposed to be the final cut… the final FINAL cut, and even though I’m still not overly enamored with the film, I can appreciate the production and costume designs, some of the performances and the ambitiousness of the character and story.
