The Godfather Trilogy is another (almost) great set from Paramount with a plethora of bonus features and excellent video and audio transfers. My only qualm is, like the DVD set, they’ve gone back to the cardboard digi-pak which means you’re SOL if any of them get damaged.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is a great western-thriller thanks to a wonderful core cast with Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach and even for those not inclined to enjoy westerns, like myself.
A Lovely Way to Die seemed like a movie right up my alley, however I found it to be pretty darn dull not to mention characters I couldn’t care less about, though I will say Eli Wallach had a few fun scenes at least.
Sentinel is an uneven yet still creepy supernatural-horror flick with some good performances from a respectable ensemble cast that includes Ava Gardner, Burgess Meredith, Eli Wallach and Christopher Walken. The Blu-ray released by Shout Factory has above average video and audio transfers and a fine selection of bonus material.
