An uneven adventure-drama, Genghis Khan is still a well acted, primarily by Omar Sharif in the title role, and entertaining enough film.
The Night of the Generals isn’t the most well made WWII film but it is certainly different from others giving it a murder mystery spin to the formula. However, the cast is impressive with Peter O’Toole, Omar Sharif and Donald Pleasance each giving good performances. The Blu-ray released by Twilight Time is basic with good video and audio transfers but lacks in the special features department.
Although this Funny Girl sequel doesn’t possess the magic of its predecessor, the performances are all well done headlined once again by Barbra Streisand as well as then newcomer James Caan with catchy music and a well written story.
The biographical drama Che! is kind of laughable with some shoddy performances, though not so much from Omar Sharif as Che but instead someone felt it was a good idea casting someone like Jack Palance as Fidel Castro.
