Earthquake: Collector’s Edition (Shout Select) Blu-ray Review

Earthquake is certainly one of the lesser of the disaster film of the 1970s and certainly the story and characters, despite a respectable cast, was the weaker point but I was at least impressed with some of the miniature and special effects work.

Hollywood’s Greatest Screen Legends set might be cool in theory but these are episodes of something called “Hollywood Remembers” from 2000 and these were not professionally produced though you can at least see the passion as I doubt this was some money ploy.

Review: Seven Days in May BD + Screen Caps

Seven Days in May certainly seems to be a prescient film given today’s climate and the movie itself is a showcase of some solid performances by prominent actors of that era, namely Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas.

Review: The Sentinel BD + Screen Caps

Sentinel is an uneven yet still creepy supernatural-horror flick with some good performances from a respectable ensemble cast that includes Ava Gardner, Burgess Meredith, Eli Wallach and Christopher Walken. The Blu-ray released by Shout Factory has above average video and audio transfers and a fine selection of bonus material.
