Widows is a well done and ultimately effective thriller from Steve McQueen that features some top-notch acting and an engaging story.

The Poison Ivy series is no doubt bad and unfortunately not really the good kind of bad outside of a few laughable lines and how some of the sex scenes were “tastefully” shot. On the plus side, for the most part the acting isn’t bad.

This “Horror Double Feature” is another re-packaging of Hostel and Hostel Part II and given the <$10 price point and if you don’t already own the other release, or the individual ones, this is an okay pick-up, just know this does not include any bonus features.

Four Weddings and a Funeral, even with some of its flaws, most notably the casting of Andie McDowell whom I normally love, is still a wonderful, feel-good, film led way by Hugh Grant’s charm and some heartfelt scenes.

Valentine for me, like Urban Legend, isn’t a slasher-horror classic but I will admit there are at least few fun elements and I suspect if you were to watch this in a group setting, the experience might be a better one. However, this “Collector’s Edition” is a near home run from Shout Factory.

Scooby-Doo and the Curse of the 13th Ghost was an okay movie that at least did make be chuckle a few times and I did enjoy the connection with the old 1985-86 series, The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo which was pretty cool.

First Man might not be the best movie about space exploration around but it is still a well made drama from Damien Chazelle in a solid follow-up to his Academy Award winning music-drama, La La Land. Ryan Gosling gives a nice, if not quiet, performance.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels might not rank high amongst my favorite 1980s comedies, but this is still a funny film even when you know the ending. The dynamic between Steve Martin and Michael Caine was great.
