Open Water 3: Cage Dive is pretty awful not for being poorly shot but just downright of a bore of a film with characters who are hard to care for with a half-baked script.
American Horror Story: Roanoke BD + Screen Caps
Although I didn’t really care for the format of this season on American Horror Story, or the style of the final few episodes, there is some tense atmosphere and the performances at least weren’t bad, with Sarah Paulson being the highlight.

Arrow: The Complete Fifth Season BD + Screen Caps
Arrow: The Complete Fifth Season was at least a passable year for a show I never really cared for but the writing still isn’t great and the performances were, at best, so-so. One big drawback is that the other two episodes in the 3-part “Invasion” crossover were not included in this set, lame.

All the Sins of Sodom/Vibrations BD + Screen Caps
Admittedly neither All the Sins of Sodom nor Vibrations were my particular cup of tea but the visuals in both films are striking including the opening shot in Sins (as shown on the front cover). This is the second edition in the “Joseph W. Sarno Retrospective Series” and seems like a fine release.

Children of the Corn Blu-ray Review
Children of the Corn is by no means a good movie or anything, but the cheesiness – or should I say corny (?) – does make it entertaining even if there isn’t anything particularly scary.
The Law and Jake Wade BD + Screen Caps
The Law and Jake Wade is a very well made western-crime-thriller with strong performances from its leads, Robert Taylor and Richard Widmark, as directed by veteran John Sturges (Gunfight at the O.K. Corral).
Cross Fire DVD
Cross Fire isn’t a great movie featuring some poor performances and a stilted screenplay.
47 Meters Down BD + Screen Caps
47 Meters isn’t that good of a movie but there were a few tense moments so even with a thin plot and mostly one-dimensional characters, this might be worth a rental especially considering its short running time.
Shameless: The Complete Seventh Season BD + Screen Caps
Shameless is the kind of show I can kind lose interest but find my way back every so often, mainly because William H. Macy is so damn good as the reckless loveable loser and the supporting cast all do quite well in their respective roles.

Flatliners (Steelbook) BD + Screen Caps
Flatliners is a fun 1990 film that might not be some sort of classic but the entertainment value is there.
Kick-Ass 4K + BD Screen Caps
Kick-Ass is a fun, hard-knuckled comic book movie that came many years before Deadpool became a hit it did. The highlights, beyond the R-rating language and violence, are the performances from a very young Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicolas Cage and Aaron Johnson.
Full Confession DVD
Full Confession is well acted and the noir-ish like style looks good, but the screenplay writing is a bit much as is the overly dramatic scenes, particularly the “big” finale.
Big Business Girl DVD
Big Business Girl is a rather ho-hum 1930s-era romantic comedy but is at least watchable if only for Loretta Young’s charms and on-screen charisma.
The Lion and the Horse DVD
I’m not the biggest fan of westerns, but The Lion and the Horse was a solid flick starring the charismatic Steve Cochran in the lead role.
