No real surprise that I never heard of the novel it’s based upon, The Sun is Also a Star is a fine romance-drama that never manages to impress beyond a scene or two with leads, yet fans of the genre might get more enjoyment out of it.

Cruising is a pretty tough movie to sit through with some dark subject matter that I predict wouldn’t go over too well even today, even so, Al Pacino and Paul Sorvino both give strong performances.

I suppose it’s a good thing that I went into watching The Curse of La Llorona with zero expectations and even then, the movie couldn’t even measure up to that low standard.

Missing Link Blu-ray Review
Missing Link is a nice little stop-motion animated film with a standard but still entertaining story to go along with a nice voice cast which includes Hugh Jackman, Zoe Saldana and Zach Galifianakis; I would say this worth a rental.

The Assault DVD Review
Can’t say The Assault was a movie I had high expectations for although I had hoped it at least was a middling action-thriller but alas it was just another poorly made direct-to-video flick.
The Doors 4K Ultra HD
The Doors might not be a great biopic if only because I personally am not a big fan of Oliver Stone (have enjoyed many of movies, however) or of Jim Morrison and his band (though enjoyed many of their songs), it is still worth checking out if you haven’t already, if only to watch the new “Final Cut” version.
Vault DVD Review
Vault might’ve been an interesting story, and the acting at least was alright, but it doesn’t really break new ground in the true crime-heist where I’ve pretty much seen this played out in other movies.
