Resident Evil: Apocalypse isn’t terrible and never made me angry, yet doesn’t get near the good-bad realm. However, I still like Milla Jovovich in the lead here and the addition of Sienna Guillory was nice.

Resident Evil might be the mediocre beginning of what would become a six movie franchise, but I did like Milla Jovovich in the lead as the material fits her skill set pretty well and there’s just enough to make it watchable.
Guest House seems to harken back to the 1990s raunchy comedy and stars Pauly Shore, Mike Castle, Aimee Teeharden, Billy Zane (whose name isn’t even on the front cover) and Steve-O (whose name IS on the front cover).
Kentucky Kernels debuts on Blu-ray courtesy of the Warner Archive Collection and stars Bert Wheeler, Robert Woolsey and Mary Carlisle and was released on September 8.

Fury isn’t the best war drama around, not even in the top 5, but it’s still well made and features a great cast, with Brad Pitt delivering a fine performance (one of his best in some time), that elevates the writing while Ayer’s direction keeps the pacing just right.

Blindspot: The Fifth and Final Season arrives only on DVD after the previous four seasons received Blu-ray releases. No features included but at least the video and audio was adequete. The DVD is set for release on November 17th.

After the first 35-minutes or so, Deadly Games: Dial Code Santa Claus is a fun little horror-thriller with some truly hilarious scenes that made me chuckle a few times and while it is ridiculous at times, however, I found it quite entertaining seeing a kid-turn-Rambo taking on a killer Santa Claus.

The Irishman was a little disappointing if only for the amount of praise the film received from both the professional and regular everyday movie-watchers, however it was great to see three veteran actors together.

The Woman features a respectable physical and psychological performance from Pollyanna McIntosh, reprising her role from Offspring, the rest of the film is rather predictable.
The horror-thriller Antebellum starring Janelle Monáe, Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston and Kiersey Clemons arrives on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on November 3rd and comes with a documentary, featurettes, deleted scenes and trailers.

Mallrats has found a new audience over the past 20+ years with home video media, and myself enjoyed it a bit more) and now 2.5 decades later, manages to get a complete Blu-ray release with a few new features and an upgraded video transfer.

The Back to the Future Trilogy is still fantastic even after watching it for probably the tenth time and holds up in its entertainment value. Universal once again releases the movies on a new format and it does feature great video and audio and a few fine new features alongside a slew of others ported over from previous sets.

White Fire had all the hallmarks of being one of those good-bad action movies from the 1980s and while it had its moments, Ginty fights off some goons with a chainsaw, but the last two-thirds were rather dull.
