Children of the Corn is by no means a good movie or anything, but the cheesiness does make it entertaining even if there isn’t anything particularly scary.
Needle in a Timestack is a sci-fi romantic drama featuring Leslie Odom Jr., Freida Pinto, Cynthia Erivo and Orlando Bloom. The Blu-ray and DVD was released on October 19th.
The Spider Woman Strikes Back is not a sequel to the Sherlock Holmes story but features the same actress in Gale Sondergaard credited as a different character. The Blu-ray from Kino Lorber comes out on November 2nd.
The Amazing Mr. X is a film noir thriller-horror that is in the public domain however gets a proper transfer versus poorly sourced releases in the past. The film stars Turhan Bey, Lynn Bari and Cathy O’Donnell.
Overall, I can’t say it enough that the original Scream is right up there with Halloween and Friday the 13th with an amazing cast ensemble and a production that overcame the odds and made an iconic movie.
Kull the Conqueror, originally conceived as a third Conan movie before Arnold Schwarzenegger passed on the role, stars Kevin Sorbo, Tia Carrere and Ian Thomas Griffith, arriving on Blu-ray from Mill Creek Entertainment.
