S.W.A.T. was a fun action-adventure flick primarily due to the cast rather than the story which does plod along at a slow pace and really takes time to get into the meat of the plot.
Review: Blade Runner 2049 4K/BD + BD Screen Caps
Blade Runner 2049 is probably not a great sequel to the 1982 classic but still a very good movie as a whole. Although the visuals (both in terms of cinematography and effects) are fantastic, the characters weren’t all that interesting and the performances were just okay. However, this is still well worth seeing.

No Solicitors DVD
No Solicitors is just one of those movies you see on the shelf at a Wal-Mart and probably, for good reason, pass on by. The acting isn’t the best however I don’t mind seeing Eric Roberts hamming it up in a scene or two.
The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie BD + Screen Caps
The LEGO® NINJAGO® Movie is by far the weakest of the LEGO® franchise be it theatrical or direct-to-video as the humor doesn’t really work and it’s just a bland animated flick that might appeal to a younger audience.

Battle of the Sexes BD + Screen Caps
Battle of the Sexes isn’t as great as it could have been, but I did admire the performances from Emma Stone, Steve Carell and Andrea Riseborough, all deserving of award recognition.
Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold DVD
Scooby-Doo & Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a fun enough animated movie more as a fan of the humor from the cancelled Batman animated series and if any hard-core Mystery Inc. fans will also enjoy it even if the team-up itself is forced.

Killing Gunther BD + Screen Caps
Killing Gunther might’ve made for a fun enough short film but in feature length form it stretches the joke out too far and even Schwarzenegger’s scenes can’t save it.
George Gently: The Complete Collection BD
I never really heard of this series prior to receiving this set, but the George Gently: The Complete Collection is right up my alley with the crime-drama subject and an interesting set of characters headlined by Martin Shaw and Lee Ingleby.

The L-Shaped Room Blu-ray Review
The L-Shaped Room is a well acted drama that probably was a bit too long for my taste but Leslie Caron’s amazing charisma, along with the writing, made up for any shortfalls.
S.W.A.T.: The Complete Series DVD
S.W.A.T. aired before my time and I never watched when it was on syndication (presuming it was at some point) but it is a franchise that has endured with a Hollywood movie, a few direct-to-video spin-offs and now a remake series on CBS.
The Wuthering Heights Blu-ray Review
The Wuthering Heights is one of many Emily Bronte adaptations and this one is finely acted by Timothy Dalton and Anna Calder-Marshall. The Blu-ray release is basic with so-so video and audio transfers while the features are light.
Forever Amber Blu-ray Review
Forever Amber isn’t one of Otto Preminger better films but for its time certainly controversial. The film excels thanks to Linda Darnell’s great performance.
The Hospital Blu-ray Review
The Hospital is a dark comedy that works mostly for George C. Scott though the story itself isn’t only mildly amusing. The Blu-ray has okay video/audio transfers but lacks many features.

The Houses October Built 2 is pretty much like the first film, just with “new” thrills but honestly, I didn’t care for the original and this one was more of the same. It’s not exactly trash but not worth watching either.
