The Beverly Hill Cop trilogy is very hit or miss, like many franchises, with the first being great, the sequel serviceable but very flawed and the third a huge step down.

The Goldfinch is a well shot film with a great cast that includes Ansel Elgort, Sarah Paulson, Jeffrey Wright and Nicole Kidman, sadly the story wasn’t very interesting, was a tad too long.

The Fan is a film that showcases the talents of both Lauren Bacall and a young Michael Biehn turning in a sometimes creepy performance as a celebrity stalker.
Joker 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Review
Joker is one of the more unique experiences I’ve had, and perhaps helping is that I am a fan of DC characters, and while this may not be a comic accurate portrayal, the performance by Joaquin Phoenix was nothing short than incredible.

Lucky Day at times feels like Tarantino-lite which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but much of this thin plot doesn’t quite work, although I did like Crispin Glover’s crazy performance that almost makes this worthy of a rental.

Duplicity didn’t do a whole lot for me when I last saw it back in 2009 as the chemistry between Julia Roberts and Clive Owen wasn’t entirely palpable though I did enjoy some of the story elements.

After the Wedding features some great performances by a respectable cast that includes Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams and Billy Crudup, along with the young and talented Abby Quinn, but the film falters in the script and editing.
Project Ithaca Blu-ray Review
Project Ithaca is a mess of a film between some bad acting mixed with haphazard script and scattershot editing, beyond that it’s just that compelling of a story, this is the type of movie that would wind up as part of free option on Amazon Prime.
Rambo: Last Blood 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray Review
Rambo: Last Blood might not have the same feel compared with the others in the series, but I still found this to be a compelling action-thriller and another good performance from Sylvester Stallone.
