Braven was a surprisingly well made, save for a few eye-rolling moments, suspense-thriller with some solid performances from two bad-asses with Jason Momoa and Stephen Lang as they do battle against low-level drug smugglers. Well worth a rental.

Cyborg: Collector’s Edition BD + Screen Caps
Cyborg had all the hallmarks of being a fun good bad 1980s sci-fi action movie and while there are certainly some great moments, still get a chuckle out of Tremolo growls, there’s too much of it that is derivative that it became a bit boring at times.

Honor Up is a poorly made, terribly written film with bad performances to boot. It honestly was a chore to sit through and there are far better options that touch upon the same subject matter.

I’m not exactly a fan of westerns in general, only enjoying the more mainstream or obvious like Unforgiven and A Fistful of Dollars, but these two Ringo movies were well produced and lead actor Giuliano Gemma had great charisma.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay 4K Ultra HD + BD Screen Caps
Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay is another first-rate entry into DC’s Animated features line with a story that is on the thinner side, but worth watching if only for the colorful array of characters and full embracing of the R-rating with some great bloody violence.

Father Figures BD + Screen Caps
Father Figures is just the latest in the litany of forgettable throwaway duo/buddy comedies that constantly come down the line and are in-and-out of theaters. That said, it’s not horrible and it did have a few laughs, but otherwise I won’t see it again.
Mystery Science Theater 3000: Season 11 BD + Screen Caps
Does Mystery Science Theater 3000: Season 11 match up with the highs of the original series? Not quite, but it does come pretty close even if the season was on the uneven side. Otherwise, I actually did warm up to Jonah as the new host and seeing the robot friend’s back was just great.

The 6 Degrees Collection
The 6 Degrees Collection is another cheap hodge-podge set of movies already released by Mill Creek Entertainment and for those who don’t already own a few of them, it might be worth the $10 price tag as the picture quality was fine and audio adequate enough.
Push 4K Ultra HD + BD Screen Caps
Push is a movie that was less disappointing, mainly because I had no expectations either way, and more in the line of wasted opportunities. In any case, I did enjoy certain parts of the film, just not enough as a full recommendation.
Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? DVD
The 1996 version of Mother, May I Sleep with Danger? was certainly terrible but oh so entertaining especially the laugh-filled finale, along with the poor acting from beginning to end. I can’t quite say the same for the “re-imagining”
Getting Gotti DVD
Getting Gotti is a poorly produced, half-baked crime-drama that at least does have a good performance from Lorraine Bracco to help get through it, but otherwise this is one bio-pic that should be forgotten.
Human Trafficking DVD
Human Trafficking, a 2005 mini-series, is finely acted by Mira Sorvino and some of the lesser known cast and is an effective emotional journey into a world rarely spoken about.
Knowing 4K Ultra HD + BD Screen Caps
Knowing did very much remind me of an M. Night Shyamalan movie (both times viewing now) but unlike some of his later works beyond The Sixth Sense, I think Alex Proyas did convey a level of authentic emotion that really worked.
Insidious: The Last Key Blu-ray Review
Insidious: The Last Key is by no means terrible but just another ho-hum and inoffensively bland entry in a franchise that at its height were merely okay, but is highlighted by Lin Shaye being a badass once again.
