Middle-Earth: Ultimate Collector’s Edition 4K Ultra HD Review

The Middle-Earth: Ultimate Collector’s Edition set is a nice looking collection and a unique packaging that looks good on a bookshelf. The new features are fine and all and glad all of the commentaries are there, but disappointing that none of the extensive supplements were ported over.

The Hobbit: The Motion Picture Trilogy 4K Ultra HD Review

I wasn’t totally enamored with The Hobbit Trilogy in my initial viewings and the extended versions didn’t really change my mind, so the same issues remain although I can still appreciate some of the technical aspects at least.

Avengers: Endgame Blu-ray Review

Although at its core I don’t think Avengers Endgame was as strong compared to Infinity War, the emotional aspects however more than made up for it, and the biggest impact was Robert Downey Jr.’s fantastic performance.

Ant-Man and the Wasp Blu-ray Review

Ant-Man and the Wasp is a fun and ultimately entertaining comic book movie and although it doesn’t measure up, at least in its depth, to other Marvel movies, still is a movie the entire family can watch and enjoy.

Review: Ant-Man BD + Screen Caps

Ant-Man may just be a middle-of-the-road flick compared with the other MCU films, but it’s still fairly enjoyable if not filled with plot holes and inconsistencies that I could easily overlook due to the entertainment factor and a well rounded cast headlined by Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug: Extended Edition Blu-ray Review

Although Desolation of Smaug is an improvement over Unexpected Journey, I still wasn’t crazy about the installment with the action scenes, albeit well filmed, seemingly blurring from one to the next and you once more had references to LOTR, a series I have far more interest in re-watching and caring about than this one thus far.

Still, fans will probably get more out of this than I did so on that front, it might be worth a rental.
