The Limehouse Golem is a solid enough crime-drama that excels thanks to the performances from the always reliable Bill Nighy and Olivia Cooke whom I’ve been a fan of with Bates Motel.

Demon Wind BD + Screen Caps
Demon Wind is not exactly a great independent horror film or anything and the performances are, at best, so-so, but it is an enjoyable enough flick with some moderately impressive make-up effects.
The Beguiled BD + Screen Caps
As a fan of Sofia Coppola, I was disappointed with The Beguiled, a film with paper-thin characters and a rather dull and trite plot that leads to an ineffectual finale. That said, I will give it some points for Farrell and Kidman’s performances and what production design I could see was well done.
Wide Open DVD
Wide Open is a quirkily fun 1930s romantic comedy that features an unlikely leading couple. It’s got the innocence of the era which doesn’t quite translate today but it was entertaining.
The Washington Masquerade DVD
The Washington Masquerade is a well acted political romance-drama headlined by Lionel Barrymore and Karen Morley.
DC Universe 10th Anniversary Collection BD
The DC Universe: 10th Anniversary Collection is an excellent release that even though some of the animated movies aren’t the best, having them in one place is nice. The only issue I have is, there is going to be more releases and given how physical media is going, not entirely sure there will be a volume 2 release, but who knows.

The Emoji Movie 4K/BD + BD Screen Caps
The Emoji Movie is such a cynical, corporate movie with no genuine heart and a voice talent that is completely wasted, I’m honestly not sure how it even got made in the first place, but still managed to make over $200 million worldwide.
Sniper: Ultimate Kill Blu-ray Review
Sniper: Ultimate Kill is by no means great but at the very least entertaining as it knows exactly what kind of a movie it is: campy comedy action. The acting is average but always nice seeing Billy Zane and Tom Berenger reprise their roles.
Captain from Castile BD + Screen Caps
Captain from Castile is a fun 1940s-era adventure-drama featuring some fine performances from Tyrone Power and Jean Peters as well as Cesar Romero.
Popcorn BD + Screen Caps
Popcorn is a cheesy but fun and entertaining horror flick from the early 90s. Sure, the acting isn’t anything special but the bloody effects weren’t entirely bad and should make for an enjoyable night to watch with friends.
Marcella: Season One DVD
Marcella: Season One is a respectively well acted and nicely shot series though it’s nothing all that original yet still entertaining if only for Anna Friel.
Decline and Fall DVD
Decline and Fall is a decently made mini-series that works more for the cast than a compelling plot. At only three hours, it does make for an easy enough watch and all in all is entertaining.
She Had to Say Yes DVD
She Had to Say Yes is a charming if not ultimately forgettable romance-drama that does feature a nice performance from Loretta Young.
The Lift BD + Screen Caps
The Lift wasn’t a very good movie with poor pacing and absolutely unnecessary scenes such as the main character’s family drama which could’ve been cut out with no problem. But the horror elements were alright but this is a case where I actually prefer the remake.
Innocent Blood BD + Screen Caps
Innocent Blood is an utterly cheesy but fun early 1990s vampire drama with an over-the-top performance from Robert Loggia and French actress Anne Parillaud is, ahem, well suited for the vampirella femme fatale central role.
