Scarface: The World is Yours – Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD Review

Scarface might not rank up there with other classics in the crime-drama genre, but it’s a great film combining the talents of Oliver Stone’s scriptwriting and Brian De Palma’s direction, alongside the performances by Pacino, Pfeiffer and Mastrantonio.

Innocent Blood BD + Screen Caps

Innocent Blood is an utterly cheesy but fun early 1990s vampire drama with an over-the-top performance from Robert Loggia and French actress Anne Parillaud is, ahem, well suited for the vampirella femme fatale central role.

Review: Independence Day (20th Anniversary Edition) BD + Screen Caps

While 20 years later Independence Day doesn’t quite hold up, the entertainment and cheese factor at least still is there and makes for an enjoyable disaster flick, not to mention President Whitmore’s call to action speech still gives me goose bumps to this day.

Review: Return to Me BD + Screen Caps

Return to Me is somewhat of an underrated and overlooked romantic-drama-comedy and in spite of the surprising casting of David Duchovny in the typical male lead role, the movie really works from beginning to end the he and Driver actually have good chemistry with one another. The supporting cast is also impressive from James Belushi to veterans like Robert Loggia and Carroll O’Connor.

The Believers Blu-ray Review

The Believers isn’t a bad supernatural thriller though it does kind of fall apart towards the third act to the point of near absurdity, but even so, might be worth a watch if only for some half-decent performances from Martin Sheen and Robert Loggia.

Big: 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray Review

This is yet another double-dip, the second on Blu-ray, offering the same content, including audio and video, as the 2009 release. Don’t get me wrong, this is a wonderful movie, a favorite of mine.
