Superman: Man of Tomorrow is the beginnings of a new animated universe now that the previous New 52 inspired one concluded. The animation style is my biggest question mark but I did enjoy the introductions for both Lobo and Martian Manhunter.

Bad Education tells an interesting story in one of the more uninteresting ways, as it’s not terribly engaging. That being said, Hugh Jackman gives yet another amazing performance.
At times Ghost can be a bit on the cheesy side but the performances of Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg sell it just enough to make it an effective supernatural romantic drama.
The Naked City is a well done crime-drama that certainly was done in an interesting style with a documentary-like narration and filming on location in New York City.

Marriage Story is a bittersweet drama featuring two incredible, award-worthy, performances (not to take away from Laura Dern who was great in her own right) by both Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver.

The comedy-drama, Dear Diary (Caro Diario) comes to Blu-ray through Film Movement and is available to purchase on September 8.
I Am Vengeance: Retaliation had the hallmarks to be a fun and light action-thriller and instead is a monotonous and tedious mess not helped by a lead who, at least with this material, doesn’t quite have the charisma compared to his wrestling actor cohorts.

The Trip to Greece may not offer anything the previous three movies didn’t already cover, but I still found this to be an enjoyable, even relaxing, road trip movie that provided some laughs thanks to both Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon.
Deep Blue Sea 3 still isn’t nearly as entertaining as the original but is a step up from its predecessor and at least does have a few scenes that were rather fun.
Tales from the Darkside: The Movie has two decent stories, one was dull and the other, the wrap-around, so-so. Still, it’s an anthology film worth checking out.

Deathstroke: Knights and Dragons is a well done animated movie and good enough substitution for a live action feature that is unlikely to happen. I did like the story, bridging together the character’s interesting backstory.

Batwoman is pretty much in line with other CW shows, meaning the writing, and dialogue, aren’t exactly top notch and here even the acting never quite jives, even Ruby Rose whom I really like, never fit.

The Phantom of the Opera is an entertaining enough adaptation thanks to a heartfelt performance from Herbert Lom. The Blu-ray release from Shout Factory has a good selection of bonus features and high-quality video/audio transfers.

The High Note is a fine music-drama-comedy with some good performances from Dakota Johnson and Tracee Ellis Ross, but can’t say this is a terribly memorable film and unlikely will remember a month from now.
There is no doubt Tinto Brass is a fascinating character and filmmaker, mostly known for directing Caligula, and these two films, P.O. Box Tinto Brass and IsTintoBrass gives some insights into the man, the second one especially.
