I really hate Sharknado and its popularity giving green light to so many terrible copycats that tried to be as tongue-in-cheek but miserably failed. Here we get six of these awful movies that only masochists could truly enjoy.
It’s not hard to see why Heist had a very limited theater run before being released to DTV obscurity in spite of a nice cast between Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Robert De Niro. But thanks to a bad script, with far too many contrivances to ignore, this is the type of movie easily forgotten within a day and thrown in with the rest of the subpar flicks.
Free Fall is the typical direct-to-video thriller with a plot stretched far too thin, filled with cliché after cliché and acting that’s at best average and is just an all around poorly made flick with little redeeming value. The Blu-ray released by Anchor Bay has decent video and audio transfers while the solo bonus feature actually isn’t that bad.
