Vanilla Sky: Paramount Presents Blu-ray Review

Vanilla Sky is probably my favorite movie from Cameron Crowe, or at least one that hit more of an emotional core, although I also loved Almost Famous. The performance by Tom Cruise might not be his best but he’s in his element as is Penelope Cruz.

Suspiria (2018) Blu-ray Review

Suspiria is one interesting film that does take aspects of Dario Argento’s 1977 original and adds a little bit of a spin of it, including an absolutely bananas finale which in some respects was actually better, or at the very least more memorable.

Review: Doctor Strange 3D BD/BD + Screen Caps

While not the strongest of the numerous MCU films so far, Doctor Strange at least is still a fun flick helped more by the charisma of both Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton more than a routine, thin plot and another forgettable villain.

Review: Hail, Caesar! BD + Screen Caps

Hail, Caesar for me was a major misstep for the Coen Brothers even with what certainly passion behind their love letter to 1950s Hollywood. Outside of George Clooney and Tilda Swinton, the other cast members were more or less cameo appearances.

The Deep End Blu-ray Review

The Deep End is a mostly well acted drama-thriller with Tilda Swinton giving a great performance while Goran Visnjic, attempting to follow in the footsteps of “ER” alum George Clooney, seems out of place but gives it his best.
