Black Adam is the latest installment within the DCEU and while I was at least moderately entertained, the story felt disjointed but it’s worse offense is the introduction several new characters, most notably the Justice Society.

The Invisible Man is a surprisingly well done update to a classic horror icon and a step in the right direction for Universal’s planned monster reboots and Elisabeth Moss is perfect in the lead and almost solely carries a film.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back wasn’t quite an ill-advised sequel but it certainly was unnecessary. As someone who hasn’t read a single Lee Child novel, I never had a problem with Cruise’s casting but here this was a forgettable action-thriller that is worth a rental but nothing more.

“Leverage” might not be remembered that well but I sure enjoyed the series despite some less than stellar episodes. Still, the cast shares wonderful chemistry and some of the season-long storylines were at least compelling. This final season, granted only 15 episodes, have some solid episodes and the series finale gives nice closure for the fans. The DVD doesn’t have a whole lot regarding features though having a commentary with each episode does provide insight from the creators and others.
