Spinning Man, while imperfect, does at least try something new to the sometimes tired crime-thriller genre, taking viewers away from the investigation aspects and looking into the lives, and particularly mind, of a prime suspect and his devolution.

Dear Dictator BD + Screen Caps

Dear Dictator certainly is an interesting concept and sometimes biting satire, that never really comes together, not to mention Michael Caine, for as charming as he is, was ridiculous, though I guess he had a good old time. On the positive side, I did like Odeya Rush who seems to be the next up-and-coming star.

The Hunter’s Prayer Blu-ray Review

The Hunter’s Prayer isn’t exactly a memorable suspense-drama or anything and Sam Worthington doesn’t exactly turn in a strong performance, meaning par for the course for the actor, but I did think the young Odeya Rush was a standout and I was moderately entertained.

The Giver Blu-ray Review

The Giver is a perfectly acceptable sci-fi suspense/thriller but outside of being passable, it doesn’t really offer much else, although Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep both help keep it afloat from a story that falls a bit short in terms of weight.
