Promising Young Woman is a revenge drama-thriller starring the wonderful Carey Mulligan who gives a great performance, even if the movie didn’t always work for me.

We Don’t Belong Here is an odd movie but features a respectable cast including the late Anton Yelchin in one of his last roles. The DVD released through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and is rather standard with so-so video/audio transfers but sadly no bonus material.

Trust Me is not the perfect comedy-drama and probably could’ve used a couple rewrites but as a follow-up to his 2008 film, Choke, it’s not bad and he assembles (no pun intended) a fine set of actors and an at least engaging story. The DVD released by Anchor Bay sadly is basic with no features while the audio/video transfers are merely adequate.

Serendipity stands out thanks in most part to its two stars. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale overcome a clichéd-filled script; to be fair it’s hard not to be clichéd in the romantic-comedy genre.
