Justice League: Throne of Atlantis – Commemorative Edition 4K Ultra HD Review

Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is not DCUA’s best output to date but it’s a perfectly entertaining film with a few flaws, primarily the limited running time. But the voice casting is mostly good, even Jason O’Mara, and on the whole I enjoyed it and some of the darker humor.

The Death of Superman 4K UHD & Blu-ray Review + BD Screen Caps

The Death of Superman was a great addition to DC’s Animated Movie line with a tight and well told adaptation of the famous story, doing far better justice than Superman: Doomsday, and some fine voice talent work in addition, though Rainn Wilson’s Lex Luthor sounded off.

Pitch Perfect 3 4K Ultra HD + BD Screen Caps

Pitch Perfect 3 is the conclusion to a trilogy that honestly didn’t need one. I can’t precisely remember why I enjoyed the first two only to say that I did (according to my ratings on IMDb) but this one was pointless and even the music doesn’t overcome a disorganized plot, even though the cast at least seemed to be having a good time.

Review: USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage BD + Screen Caps

Well intentioned as it might have been, and telling a World War II story that’s probably not familiar to the average American, USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage features lazy performances, especially by Nicolas Cage though he does have a couple okay scenes, and some laughable visual effects.

Review: “90210”: The Final Season DVD

“90210” was never a great show, or even a good one for that matter, but it still was a guilty pleasure if only for the eye candy and flashy sets. This final season DVD set comes with a decent amount of features including a 30-minute+ retrospective featurette while the audio/video transfers are adequate enough.

Secret of the Wings Blu-ray Review

Disney’s latest installment in the Tinker Bell Faries line, Secret of the Wings, is a nice little movie that the entire family can watch, though it is still geared towards younger children – and Disney fans of all ages.

Sorority Row Blu-ray Review

Sorority Row may just be another slasher pic with some unique kills but the finale is the real killer of this film. However, the audio and video are both solid and although I would’ve liked to have seen better featurettes than the standard EPK-like one’s we got.
