Ready Player One 4K Ultra HD Review + BD Screen Caps

Ready Player One was an all around fun and entertaining sci-fi action-adventure from Steven Spielberg that does a wonderful job of throwing nostalgia in your face, but the filmmakers seemed to be having a hell of a time with the material, and the story itself was compelling.

Dunkirk 4K/BD + BD Screen Caps

Dunkirk might not be Christopher Nolan’s strongest film, and given the subject it really should have been, and although it didn’t connect to me on an emotional level, both in terms of characters or suspense-thriller aspects, it is still a technically well made film worth watching.

Review: The Gunman BD + Screen Caps

The Gunman isn’t terrible and some interesting ideas but the execution was lacking through Sean Penn gives a solid performance though the supporting cast was a complete waste especially Ray Winstone and Idris Elba, neither of whose talents were adequately tapped in to. The Blu-ray released by Universal is a tad weak with no bonus features but the audio and video transfers are both excellent.

Review: Days and Nights DVD

Well intentioned for sure but ultimately Days and Nights, written and directed by Christian Camargo, is a fairly dull film with some OK acting from a nicely put together named cast; despite the talent involved, it just was not an engaging flick. The DVD released by MPI features good video/audio while the bonus material is relatively basic.
