Very Bad Things is one hell of a dark comedy and although I normally don’t care for that subgenre, I did laugh quite a few times and felt a tinsy-bit bad doing so. Also features a fun ensemble cast with Christian Slater easily being the standout.

Sliding Doors is such an interesting concept of a movie that works thanks to the lovely performances from both Gwyneth Paltrow and a John Hannah who has a lot of quirky charm. After all these years, the film still holds up so well.

Waterworld over the course of 20 years has washed away (so to speak) some of the negativity related to its lackluster box office set against its tremendous budget. Watching all these years later, and the long awaited Ulysses Cut no less, I found it to be a really fun apocalyptic action-thriller.

“Criminal Minds” remains one of my favorite shows today (note: I steer more towards procedural crime dramas) and while the ninth season isn’t predominantly special, there are more than a few solid episodes (‘The Inspiration,’ ‘The Inspired,’ and ‘200’) and even the others are entertaining if not routine.
“Criminal Minds”: Season 8 isn’t bad with a few highlights throughout the year including a fun supervillain in the Replicator and Jeanne Tripplehorn’s first foray is semi-satisfying though not an equal replacement for Brewster and some of the stories are getting tiresome blending together like a Friday the 13th sequel. The DVD released by Paramount does offer a respectable amount of features and the audio/video transfers are pretty good.
