Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House debuts on Blu-ray courtesy of the Warner Archive Collection receiving a new video restoration and stars Cary Grant and Myrna Loy and is out today, May 18th.
To Catch a Thief is a middle-of-the-road mystery-thriller from Alfred Hitchcock, which does say something about the filmmaker, that works because of the chemistry between Cary Grant and Grace Kelly.
1938’s Holiday is a charming enough romance-drama featuring a few great performances, primarily Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant and Doris Nolan.
Hollywood’s Greatest Screen Legends set might be cool in theory but these are episodes of something called “Hollywood Remembers” from 2000 and these were not professionally produced though you can at least see the passion as I doubt this was some money ploy.
Suspicion isn’t one of Hitchcock’s better known movies, coming before the likes of Strangers on a Train, Rear Window and Psycho, but it’s a well made, if not uneven, little thriller featuring solid performances from Cary Grant, Joan Fontaine and Cedric Hardwicke.
