The 355 is a movie that feels awfully familiar from beginning to end and although I can respect some of the action scenes and stunt work, there’s really not very much here that was entertaining with a thin plot and characters.
Contagion has some things going for it, but mainly from an acting and technical level rather than the story. The cast is mostly good despite having a limited amount of screen time and Soderbergh’s visual style, while nothing new from what he’s done in the past, still looks stunning.
Darkman is a cheesy but really fun throwback to the B-movie horror days of Hollywood. Liam Neeson is wonderful and turns in a great performance considering the amount of make-up he had to work under.

Face/Off certainly had a few silly moments but this is a great action-thriller featuring fun performances from Travolta and Cage equally, and both veteran actors seemingly having a blast playing off of one another.
Burnt Offerings arrived on Bluray Blu-ray by Kino Lorber featuring two commentary tracks, new interviews and more. The supernatural-horror film stars Karen Black, Oliver Reed, Bette Davis and Burgess Meredith.
Rumble Through the Dark arrives on Blu-ray/DVD combo pack from Lionsgate on December 19th. This drama stars Aaron Eckhart, Bella Thorne and Miranne Jean-Baptiste.
Dumb Money arrives on Blu-ray and DVD from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. This comedy-drama features an ensemble cast that includes Paul Dano, Pete Davidson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Nick Offerman and Seth Rogen.
Butcher’s Crossing is a Western-adventure film co-scripted and directed by Gabe Polsky and stars Nicolas Cage, Fred Hechinger and Xander Berkeley. No features were included.
2 Days in the Valley isn’t a great interconnected ensemble drama but certainly watchable and at the very least you get to see Charlize Theron in a very early role in her career.
Columbo: The Complete Series might not be a homerun as a complete set with the lackluster selection of bonus features, but the transfer is fantastic to go along with the solid audio track, not to mention the show itself which is incredibly entertaining.
Alf: The Complete Series: Deluxe Edition brings together all the available materials from this wonderful sitcom, including ALF: The Animated Series and ALF Tales, not to mention the then long-awaited true series finale with Project: ALF.
