Resident Evil 4K Ultra HD Review

Resident Evil might be the mediocre beginning of what would become a six movie franchise, but I did like Milla Jovovich in the lead as the material fits her skill set pretty well and there’s just enough to make it watchable.

Game of Thrones: The Complete Collection 4K Ultra HD Review

Fury isn’t the best war drama around, not even in the top 5, but it’s still well made and features a great cast, with Brad Pitt delivering a fine performance (one of his best in some time), that elevates the writing while Ayer’s direction keeps the pacing just right.

Deadly Games: Dial Code Santa Claus 4K Ultra HD Review

After the first 35-minutes or so, Deadly Games: Dial Code Santa Claus is a fun little horror-thriller with some truly hilarious scenes that made me chuckle a few times and while it is ridiculous at times, however, I found it quite entertaining seeing a kid-turn-Rambo taking on a killer Santa Claus.

The Irishman: The Criterion Collection Blu-ray Review

The Irishman was a little disappointing if only for the amount of praise the film received from both the professional and regular everyday movie-watchers, however it was great to see three veteran actors together.

Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy 4K Ultra HD Review

The Back to the Future Trilogy is still fantastic even after watching it for probably the tenth time and holds up in its entertainment value. Universal once again releases the movies on a new format and it does feature great video and audio and a few fine new features alongside a slew of others ported over from previous sets.

V for Vendetta 4K Ultra HD Review

V for Vendetta never struck me on an emotional level and it is a bit heavy handed though presumably the graphic novel was pretty close as well, but the performances from both Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman are strong.

Space Ghost & Dino Boy: The Complete Series Blu-ray Review

Space Ghost & Dino Boy is a fun 1960s-era cartoon that’s pretty simplistic in both the animation and storytelling, but still worth checking out, though personally I could skip through the “Dino Boy” segments.

The Brides of Dracula: Collector’s Edition Blu-ray Review

The Brides of Dracula isn’t the strongest of the “Dracula” movies or even monster flicks from Hammer Films, but it certainly is the most stylish with some rich production designs and Peter Cushing great playing Van Helsing.
