S.W.A.T. aired before my time and I never watched when it was on syndication (presuming it was at some point) but it is a franchise that has endured with a Hollywood movie, a few direct-to-video spin-offs and now a remake series on CBS.

DuckTales: Woo-oo! DVD
While I’m not all that crazy for the animation style of this version of DuckTales, I did really enjoy this first episode… and that’s kind of what sucks about this release that it only includes this singular episode rather than the entire season
Midsomer Murders: John Barnaby’s First Cases DVD
Midsomer Murders is a well written British mystery series that has been running for 20+ years and this collection of John Barnaby’s First Cases is probably more made for moderate fans or complete novices as the episodes were already released in other sets.

Strictly Dishonorable – Double Feature DVD
Both Strictly Dishonorable movies are fun early era romantic comedies and the 1951 remake flipping the script and it’s nice to have the two films on one release and worth the usually high price tag.

Cops and Robbers DVD
Cops and Robbers is a poorly produced and poorly acted crime-drama, one that even by direct-to-DVD standards is just plain bad and not even worth taking a chance on with a rental.
The Best of Agatha Christie: Volumes One and Two DVD
Although some of these were released on Blu-ray (as well as DVD), if you didn’t already own these, The Best of Agatha Christie sets are well worth picking up especially if you like the author’s adaptations.

High School Lover DVD
The only reason High School Lover, a Lifetime movie, received any notice, is because it stars an A-list(ish) actor in James Franco (he also executive produced), otherwise it’s just another bad made-for-TV flick that features some sub-par performances, Franco especially.
Age of Kill DVD
Age of Kill was plain and simple a bad movie and not in the fun, MST3K kind of way either. The acting is for the most part awful, in one case you wonder how the actress even got the role, but beyond that it’s a haphazard and uninteresting plot.
The Three Stooges: Big Box of Nyuks DVD
The Three Stooges: Big Box of Nyuks is a fantastic 10-disc set from Mill Creek Entertainment for any Stooge fan with 6 feature films, 4 classic shorts, “The New 3 Stooges” Animated Series plus documentaries, photo slideshow, etc.
Indiscretion DVD
Indiscretion plays out like a Lifetime movie and lo and behold, at least according to IMDb, was indeed apparently aired on that network in the U.S. While it’s never a bad thing to see Mira Sorvino, this romance-thriller is rather bland and contrived.
Wide Open DVD
Wide Open is a quirkily fun 1930s romantic comedy that features an unlikely leading couple. It’s got the innocence of the era which doesn’t quite translate today but it was entertaining.
The Washington Masquerade DVD
The Washington Masquerade is a well acted political romance-drama headlined by Lionel Barrymore and Karen Morley.
Marcella: Season One DVD
Marcella: Season One is a respectively well acted and nicely shot series though it’s nothing all that original yet still entertaining if only for Anna Friel.
Decline and Fall DVD
Decline and Fall is a decently made mini-series that works more for the cast than a compelling plot. At only three hours, it does make for an easy enough watch and all in all is entertaining.
She Had to Say Yes DVD
She Had to Say Yes is a charming if not ultimately forgettable romance-drama that does feature a nice performance from Loretta Young.
