THE MOVIES

The Cowboy Way (1994) — When their friend and mentor Nacho (JOAQUIN MARTINEZ) goes missing after trying to bring his daughter, Teresa (CARA BUONO), to the U.S. from Cuba, rodeo riders Pepper (WOODY HARRELSON) and Sonny (KIEFER SUTHERLAND) leave New Mexico for New York City. When they arrive, however, they find Nacho’s been killed and his daughter is still being held by the smugglers. Now it’s up to Pepper and Sonny to find Nacho’s killer, rescue his daughter and somehow survive life in the big city.

The Jackal (1997) — During an FBI raid on a Moscow nightclub, the brother of Russian gangster Terek Murad (DAVID HAYMAN) is killed. Murad wants revenge and hires anonymous hit man the Jackal (BRUCE WILLIS) to kill FBI Deputy Director Carter Preston (SIDNEY POITIER). With the help of Russian agent Valentina Koslova (DIANE VENORA), Preston finds the only man who knows what the notorious Jackal looks like, imprisoned IRA terrorist Declan Mulqueen (RICHARD GERE), and forces him to help hunt down the hit man.

Kull the Conqueror (1997) — After five years as a slave, warrior Kull (KEVIN SORBO) travels to the shores of the fantastical kingdom of Valusia, where he slays mad King Borna. Inheriting the crown, Kull begins an ambitious program of bringing freedom and tolerance to Valusia, which displeases Gen. Taligaro (THOMAS IAN GRIFFITH) and the royal court’s advisers. Determined to unseat Kull, Taligaro has a wizard resurrect the witch Akivasha (TIA CARRERE) to seduce and destroy the new monarch.

End of Days (1999) — A private security guard (ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER) finds himself caught up in an apocalyptic conflict. The Devil’s (GABRIEL BYRNE) only chance of getting out of his eternal prison is to mate with a chosen girl in the last hour of the millennium, and the guard finds himself having to protect the woman from an enemy in whom he does not even believe.
