Four Weddings and a Funeral, even with some of its flaws, most notably the casting of Andie McDowell whom I normally love, is still a wonderful, feel-good, film led way by Hugh Grant’s charm and some heartfelt scenes.
Tomb Raider might be the exception to the rule of an actually good video game adaptation, and not in a so bad it’s good like the Jolie version. I genuinely enjoyed the action sequences and Alicia Vikander really embodied Lara Croft in the character’s current form, quite well.

The Horse Whisperer is an all around beautiful movie. The story is both heartbreaking and ultimately uplifting, the cinematography is Oscar-worthy (unfortunately it was not nominated), the direction inspiring and the acting, especially from Redford and Thomas, amazing. The Blu-ray has good audio/video transfers but falls flat in the features department.
Random Hearts is one of the few stumbles in director Sydney Pollack’s career. It’s a film with an idea that looks good on paper but when you put all the other ingredients together, it doesn’t gel that well on film. Both Ford and Thomas do their best, even when a few scenes are pretty excruciating to watch, and despite an impressive supporting cast, the film as a whole doesn’t work.
