The Texas Chain Saw Massacre gets yet another release and while this is a case of squeezing as much money out of the strong fan base as possible, this movie has never looked or sounded better.
Poltergeist, the 1982 paranormal thriller classic, stars JoBeth Williams, Craig T. Nelson and Beatrice Straight, and was co-scripted and produced by Steven Spielberg. The 4K UHD was released on September 20th.
Although I’m sure The Mangler has its fanbase that has grown over the years, this horror-comedy didn’t do much for me, mainly with some over-the-top acting on the parts of Robert Englund and Ted Levine, even in a movie where a machine comes to life and chases people down…
While I didn’t care very much for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 for being so dissimilar from the original, it’s hard not to commend Tobe Hooper for at least trying something different rather than rehash the same plot with a new cast and bloodier kills. For me, however, it never quite clicked but I know the film has a strong fanbase.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre celebrates its 40th Anniversary which for the Blu-ray compiles a fine selection of bonus material including two new commentary tracks and a slew of featurettes ported over from previous releases..
