Review: Mr. Right BD + Screen Caps

Mr. Right is one of better surprises from 2016 from the screenplay written by Max Landis mixing romance with violence and featuring two charismatic performances from Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick who was absolutely adorable in her role.

Review: Poltergeist BD + Screen Caps

There’s really no good reason, beyond the bottom dollar, for a remake of Poltergeist to exist. Technically speaking, it’s not terrible and features some decent visual effects and the acting isn’t half bad, but by film’s end, I could only shrug and wonder what to watch next, feeling neither robbed nor overjoyed with what I just watched.

Review: Trust Me DVD

Trust Me is not the perfect comedy-drama and probably could’ve used a couple rewrites but as a follow-up to his 2008 film, Choke, it’s not bad and he assembles (no pun intended) a fine set of actors and an at least engaging story. The DVD released by Anchor Bay sadly is basic with no features while the audio/video transfers are merely adequate.

Seven Psychopaths Blu-ray Review

Not without its flaws, Seven Psychopaths is still a funny, endearing and charming movie with well-rounded characters and a unique story making for a surprisingly enjoyable and memorable experience. Colin Farrell continues to show that when working on smaller budgeted pictures, he’s a good actor and with Christopher Walken, you’ve got a winner.
