Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later I thought was an entertaining movie and although it does have that late 90s slasher vibe revitalized thanks to Scream, it’s still a decent enough Halloween film, and one better than the more recent reboot trilogy.

My Sister Eileen Blu-ray Review
My Sister Eileen is a cute and fun 1950s-era comedy-musical with many of the tropes you would expect from the era, and all of it enjoyable thanks to three wonderful performances by Janet Leigh, Betty Garrett and Jack Lemmon.
Strictly Dishonorable – Double Feature DVD
Both Strictly Dishonorable movies are fun early era romantic comedies and the 1951 remake flipping the script and it’s nice to have the two films on one release and worth the usually high price tag.

Review: The Manchurian Candidate – Criterion Collection BD + Screen Caps
The Manchurian Candidate is a movie for its time, fear of communism and an idea that I’m sure some find merit today, a politician being controlled by a foreign government or, as is the case with the 2004 remake, corporation. The film also excels in the acting department with top notch performances by Sinatra, Harvey and Lansbury.

The Fog Blu-ray Review
The Fog is another classic thriller from John Carpenter featuring good scares without getting gratuitous with the horror (in fact, there is no blood) and a respectable cast..
