The early 1980s produced many slashers in an attempt to take advantage of the successes of the Friday the 13th and Halloween franchises, and Girls Nite Out is one of them, however there’s nothing here I found all that entertaining.

Creepshow Blu-ray Review

Creepshow wasn’t a great anthology horror movie but at least three out of the five stories were at least somewhat entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed “Something to Tide You Over” seeing Leslie Nielson and Ted Danson in dramatic roles.

Planes: Fire & Rescue Blu-ray Review

Planes: Fire & Rescue is a perfectly safe animated movie that children under the age of 12 might enjoy but anyone older, especially adults, might find it to be on the dull side. Still, at least the animation is good and I did enjoy some of the voice acting, but it’s hardly enough to get over a subpar script/plot.

Lincoln Blu-ray Review

Lincoln is bolstered by strong performances especially from Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field and Tommy Lee Jones and although I appreciate Spielberg limiting such an interesting character, and President, to two aspects of his time in the White House, for whatever reason the story lacked an emotional punch.
