Ghost in the Shell (1995) 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Review

Ghost in the Shell still has its influence all these years later and is telling that studios continue to re-release the movie and although I sometimes criticize double or triple dips, at least here in North America, this could be the definitive release.

Ghost in the Shell (2017) 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray Review

I’d say Ghost in the Shell was one of the bigger disappointments of 2017 but considering what I had been seeing before its release, including the director, expectations were vastly lowered and it was pretty much matched. No, it’s not horrible but in trying to satisfy fans and the general audience, the studio failed at both.

Ghost in the Shell is a well done, beautifully animated anime that not only was the inspiration behind The Matrix but has garnered a large following as well as numerous incarnations both television series and a sequel.

Review: Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie BD + Screen Caps

Ghost in the Shell: The New Movie, in spite of the lame subtitle, is an entertaining addition to the fascinating and enjoyable franchise that takes many cues from previous versions but tries out a different message. The animation is still fantastic and although new viewers will easily be lost, as a casual fan, I still found it well done, even if it’s a big step back from the “old” TV series.

Ghost in the Shell: Arise: Borders 1 & 2 Blu-ray Review

“Ghost in the Shell: Arise” albeit not as strong as “Stand Alone Complex,” still have its moments and for the most part, the designs aren’t bad, though it does take some time to get used to. The two stories featured in these two seasons (or Borders) are decent and give some good background of these characters
