NCIS: The Nineteenth Season comes to DVD from Paramount/CBS on August 16th and features a couple new characters alongside veterans including Mark Harmon, Sean Murray, Katrina Law and Gary Cole.
Scooby-Doo: Shaggy’s Showdown is one of the better animated movies I’ve seen from the series in quite a while, mainly because the last few didn’t do much for me especially the mash-up specials.

The Town That Dreaded Sundown isn’t great but at least it has some creativity linking itself to the original in a movie within a movie sense. The self referencial aspects were fun and the acting wasn’t half bad, though one of the twists at the end wasn’t exactly unexpected. Still, for horror fans, this might be worth a pick up especially considering the reasonably low price.

“Tom & Jerry Show”: Funny Side Up is an OK set for a decent series and is a fine companion for the previous released “Frisky Business” which contained the first 12 episodes. As it stands, for the family this is a fine purchase if you can nab it for under $10.

Tammy is yet another lame comedy (with attempts at sappy drama) from McCarthy and company following the tepid Identity Thief but I’m hoping at some point the actress, who can be funny, widens her range instead playing the same type of characters made famous in Bridesmaid.
